Billion Dollar Boy Group has acquired Creator Authority, a B2B creator marketing agency and LinkedIn Marketing Partner founded by Brendan Gahan and Cassie Jackson. Announced on October 14, the deal adds expertise in reaching professional audiences and expands BDB’s US presence. For affiliate and SaaS teams, it offers another example of agencies building services around creators who influence business buying decisions.
In its acquisition announcement, BDB said Creator Authority’s specialist capabilities would be combined with its global services and Companion creator-intelligence technology. The group also said the deal deepens its presence on the US West Coast.
Business Insider reported that the acquisition was an all-cash, multimillion-dollar transaction with an earnout component. The exact purchase price was not disclosed.
The publication also reported plans to grow Creator Authority’s team from around 15 people to between 30 and 40, partly by moving existing BDB staff into the operation.
Ed East, Founder and CEO of BDB Group:
B2B is one of the most significant growth opportunities in creator marketing.
Creator Authority’s website describes an agency built around LinkedIn and professional audiences. Its client list includes Amazon, Adobe, and IBM.
The work extends across creator identification, campaign planning, contracts, approvals, content production, and reporting. Formats include video, newsletters, whitepapers, lead magnets, and live events, with paid-media support on LinkedIn and other platforms.
The agency says creator assessment considers audience quality, industry relevance, and brand suitability. Its reporting includes organic and paid performance, plus the roles, industries, and regions of people engaging with content.
That gives BDB a specialist operation for campaigns where the intended audience may be a defined group of business buyers. A software vendor, for example, could need a creator who understands a particular finance or operations problem and can explain how a product fits into that workflow.
Affiverse’s coverage of LinkedIn Creator Marketplace examines how professional creator discovery can connect with broader partner programs, including events, demonstrations, and lead-generation campaigns.
Alongside the acquisition, BDB cited research surveying 1,000 senior brand and marketing decision-makers across the UK and US. One in five said they had invested in B2B creator marketing during 2026.
The finding provides context for the company’s expansion. It reflects respondents’ reported investment, with no campaign-level evidence in the announcement establishing what those businesses earned from that spending.
BDB also has a commercial interest in the category. Its acquisition and survey should be read as evidence of its strategy and the activity reported by its research sample.
For affiliate managers, the relevant connection is how professional creator relationships are recruited, paid, and measured.
A creator campaign could involve a production fee, payment for content usage, paid amplification, or a referral incentive. Each arrangement needs a defined commercial purpose and a way to assess delivery.
For example, a creator-led software demonstration might be assessed through qualified demo requests and sales opportunities. A subscription referral could be measured through activated accounts, paid revenue, and customer retention. These are illustrative measurement approaches for affiliate teams.
Affiverse’s guide to affiliate marketing software for SaaS explains the tracking requirements behind lead-based and subscription partnerships.
A shared report should connect creator fees and distribution costs with the customer outcomes being assessed. That gives the brand a basis for deciding whether to renew a relationship, change the brief, or invest in another format.
