Microsoft integrates new AI tool with CRM solutions

Microsoft is currently testing a new generative AI tool that is designed to enhance the company’s suite of customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource management (ERP) solutions.

The tool, named Copilot, is set to be integrated with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 product line and will offer users AI-powered assistance across a range of operative functions.

According to a recent survey, 9 out of 10 people would use AI to complete repetitive tasks, leaving them free to concentrate on other areas of their business.

It would seem Copilot, which is powered by OpenAI technology, is designed to do just that. It will offer business owners and marketers various ways in which to reduce the time spent completing repetitive tasks and promises to significantly streamline workflow.

Copilot can be used to respond to customer emails and can compile summaries of Teams meetings for further distribution among team members.

The tool can also be used to create AI-powered chatbots for customer service purposes. The technology allows for the creation of powerful Virtual Assistants, which trawl the web for information to provide detailed, instant responses to customer queries.

Additionally, Copilot can be used for customer segmentation and even content creation purposes. Through customer interaction, the tool can glean data about consumers and use this information to categorise and sort customers based on several different metrics.

By inputting keywords, marketers can generate ideas for email campaigns and promotional content, with Copilot harnessing existing company information and data available online to generate highly relevant topics and subjects.

What’s more, ecommerce merchants can utilise Copilot to streamline the product listing processes, with the tool able to sort product attributes and categories and create engaging product descriptions.

Finally, Copilot promises to optimize supply chain management procedures. The software can identify and flag potential issues that could impact supply chain, including weather and economic conditions. The tool’s predictive analysis capabilities can then alert project managers and estimate the impact these issues will have on business.

AI is one of the hottest topics in tech, it looks set to revolutionise affiliate marketing and a host of other industries. As the technology continues to improve and develop, we can expect to see it increasingly integrated across the digital business landscape.
