Marathonbet has agreed a historic deal with current Premier League champions Manchester City, becoming the club’s first-ever training kit partner.
The deal will build on the two parties’ existing partnership. Since summer 2018, the sportsbook has been the club’s official betting partner.
For today’s kit reveal, manager Pep Guardiola was joined by City players Sergio Agüero, Bernardo Silva, Gemma Bonner and Megan Campbell.
Details of the deal
As part of the latest development in their relationship, Marathonbet’s branding will appear on the training shirts for both the men’s and women’s senior teams. Meanwhile, the City Football Foundation logo will feature on academy sides’ jerseys.
Omar Berrada, Chief Operating Officer at Manchester City, said: “Launching our first training kit partner is a significant moment and we’re delighted to be doing this with our existing partner, Marathonbet.
“The last 18 months of partnership have been positive for us both. We are pleased to recognise this success by expanding our relationship together.”
Since Marathonbet and City joined forces, various initiatives have been launched. To celebrate going live in Nigeria, the operator partnered with the club for its trophy tour. This featured the combined six trophies won by both its men’s and women’s team last season.
Natalia Zavodnik, Marathonbet CEO, said: “It’s been a pleasure to be alongside Manchester City as its official betting partner, for one of the most exciting chapters in the club’s history.
“We have been offering fans around the world to benefit from our unique giveaways, competitions and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. We are delighted to be strengthening our partnership today by becoming the club’s first-ever training kit partner.”
Marathonbet’s presence in football
Recently, Marathonbet secured another striking partnership by becoming Real Madrid‘s first Russian partner. This follows on from the deal it signed with fellow Spanish club Sevilla prior to the start of the 2019/ 2020 season.
The sportsbook is also a sponsor of Russian Premier League side Dynamo Moscow.
