LeoVegas joins International Betting Integrity Association

The LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA). It’s the fifth sports betting operator to do so since the IBIA rebranded back in June.

To begin with, LeoVegas.com – the group’s most prominent brand – will start feeding into IBIA’s global sports betting alert and monitoring platform. Going forward, the company expects that its other betting platforms (Royal Panda, BetUK Pixel.bet and 21UK) will soon follow.

Khalid Ali, CEO of the IBIA, said:

“LeoVegas is another growing, internationally-focused and multi-licensed company to join the association over the past six months. I welcome their investment in, and commitment to, betting integrity and encourage all responsible operators to join our collective effort.

“The IBIA occupies a unique and unrivalled position in the global integrity discussion. It has a clear focus on its members’ businesses, the integrity of sporting events and protecting regulated markets from betting fraud.”

Continued emphasis on responsibility

LeoVegas has made a number of moves to become more involved in safer gambling this year. Back in August, the operator launched LeoLine – a player protection live chat service, developed in collaboration with Gambling Therapy.

When speaking about joining the IBIA, Hans Uhrus – Communications Director for LeoVegas – said the following:

“We are proud of the rapid extension of LeoVegas and our ongoing commitment to provide our customers with a safe and entertaining experience.

“As regulatory developments in the Netherlands, Germany and Brazil show, legislation is increasingly promoting membership of a betting integrity monitoring body to protect customers and sports.

“IBIA is the gold standard in that field, and our membership underlines our desire to provide our customers with a best-in-class service.”

About the IBIA

Founded in 2005, IBIA was first known as ESSA (Sports Betting Integrity). A number of major operators are part of the association, including Betclic and 888Sport. The organisation rebranded in June 2019 to its current name.
