Affiverse is delighted to announce that Gareth Williams, founder of The Createologists and pioneer of the “Rhymeology” methodology, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the ELEVATE Summit 2025, taking place July 15-16 in London.

Gareth brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial credibility and creative performance to the affiliate marketing space. A business owner since the age of 21, when he launched Construction Linx, he currently serves as Director of the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce while maintaining an active speaking and hosting practice. His client portfolio spans major institutions including the BBC, NHS, Azure Travel, and Circle Networks, with recent highlights including hosting aboard the QE2 in Dubai.

Beyond Traditional MC: The “Rhymeology” Advantage

Gareth’s “Rhymeology” approach combines strategic storytelling with lyrical performance, designed to transform fleeting conference moments into memorable, actionable insights.

We sat down with Gareth to discuss his upcoming role as Master of Ceremonies for ELEVATE. Here’s what delegates can expect when he takes to the stage on July 15-16…

Q. What appealed to you most about the role of MC for ELEVATE and our inaugural RAV Awards?
A. What really attracted me was the purpose of the event — this is not just another summit. ELEVATE is about elevating people, ideas, and ambition equally. Seeing what had gone into the design of the format, the speakers, and not least the RAV Awards — which placed values at the very centre — I could tell it was not merely a stage I was to stand on, but a cause I was to join. And that’s the kind of energy I can run with.

Q. How do you plan to bring your unique “Rhymeology” approach to the event?
A. Rhymeology is more than just rhyming; it’s about rhythm and insight. It’s the art of turning ideas into memories and moments into momentum. I use lyrical summaries, creative transitions, and live performances to help learning stick and emotions come forward. Delegates can expect surprising rhymes, playful callbacks to earlier sessions, and spoken-word summaries that don’t just recap; they celebrate.

Q. You’ve hosted events for organisations like the BBC and NHS, and most recently aboard the QE2 in Dubai. How will you adjust your hosting style to keep delegates engaged and energised over two intense days of learning and networking?
A. Whenever you’re working with big organisations, it’s about managing energy — for the group and for each person. Over two days, I’ll build rhythm into the schedule: quickening the pace where needed and providing space where it’s important. I’ll use light humour, spontaneous moments, and creative breaks to keep things lively. I will also connect the various sessions so delegates feel like they’re on a meaningful journey, not just attending a series of talks.

Q. Affiverse takes pride in choosing speakers and curating great content. As the MC, how do you work behind the scenes to ensure each speaker’s message connects with the audience and fits smoothly into the overall event narrative?
A. My preparation always begins with the speakers. I research each one, understand their themes, and find how their message fits into the larger picture. Then, I work behind the scenes — sometimes literally backstage — to help them resonate with the audience. Whether it’s tweaking the introduction to make it relevant, bridging from the previous talk, or expanding on a theme they mentioned, I make sure the day feels like a cohesive story.

Q. Your lyrical wrap-up performances are said to capture “the spirit of the day.” What can ELEVATE delegates expect from this unique finale, and how might it help them remember and apply what they’ve learned?
A. They can expect a finale that reflects them — their ideas, insights, and energy. I’ll take the key moments and conversations from the day and turn them into a live lyrical performance that is clever, heartfelt, and memorable. It’s like giving the room its own voice and replaying it with rhythm. Delegates leave with more than just notes; they leave with something meaningful, which drives action.

Q. One Dubai delegate said, “You put the O in OMG. I’ll never look at an orange the same way again.” What’s the most unexpected object or moment you’ve turned into comedy gold during an event?
A. I once asked everyone to describe their biggest challenge as a sound — not a sentence, just a sound. It was strange. It was wonderful. And it broke down more barriers in three minutes than a dozen icebreakers ever could.

Q. What’s the most creative icebreaker or connection activity you’ve used to get people sharing their real challenges instead of just exchanging business cards and small talk?
A. One of my favourites is called “What’s Under the Waterline?” Delegates write one word about their biggest current challenge on a sticky note, fold it, and trade it anonymously three times. When they open the note they end up with, they speak to it as if it were their own. The room shifts from polite networking to real empathy in minutes, and the level of honesty that follows is remarkable.
