AskGamblers to donate €50,000 to aid the fight against Covid-19

Online casino affiliate site AskGamblers will donate €50,000 to support the fight against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19)

Diverted via its parent company Catena Media, the money will go to UNICEF

The funds will come from the €66,000 that was raised for charity at January’s AskGamblers Awards in Belgrade.

“Our responsibility”

AskGamblers Vice President Nikola Teofilovic spoke about the need for those who can to help.

His words were as follows.

“We’re all aware of the fact that the battle between humanity and coronavirus pandemic is going to be a long journey, but we truly believe it is our responsibility to help protect the most vulnerable ones who are fighting this dangerous disease.

“We have decided to divert €50,000 to support our local hospitals with the necessary resources to save lives in the fight against Covid-19.”

An industrywide effort

In its official press release, AskGamblers extended its thanks to the iGaming industry for taking part in January’s charity night.

The affiliate said the below.

“The money AskGamblers Charity event managed to raise is solely thanks to our casino partners who took part in the event, and now recognised the importance of our cause willing to contribute.

“Namely, Max Affiliates, Campeonbet Casino, SlotWolf Casino, Mr.Play Casino, Ivy Affiliates, EnergyCasino, Platincasino, Gunsbet Casino, BitStarz Casino, are the ones who made this all possible and we would once again like to thank them.”

Other acts of goodwill within gaming

While times are uncertain right now, various members of the gambling industry have been doing what they can. Operators in the UK raised £2.6 million for the NHS a couple of weeks ago, while the media agency ActiveWin is offering free audits and more.

Elsewhere, Rightlander has launched a new service in Spain. This will help to ensure that affiliates are complying with the government’s emergency laws.

Meanwhile, online casino portal Casinomeister has come out and said that it will support small businesses where possible during the pandemic.

Alongside the above, various digital events are being hosted in the absence of real-life conferences.
