European online casino brand PlayOJO has partnered with former Apprentice star and TV personality Luisa Zissman for the firm’s latest viral marketing campaign.
In a series of short videos published on the PlayOJO blog and Facebook page, and shared by Zissman to her Instagram and Twitter followers, the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant helps to makes sense of the confusion surrounding Brexit.
Zissman commented: “It is concerning to find out just how few people in this country feel that they have a good grasp on what’s going on with Brexit. I wanted to help explain these complicated topics into a clear and entertaining way, that even your nan would understand.”
PlayOJO also called upon Brexit expert Professor Alex de Ruyter, Director of the Birmingham City University Centre for Brexit Studies, to provide Zissman with the hard-hitting facts she needed in order to deliver the ultimate Brexit breakdown.
The campaign consists of one main video and three shorter broken-down video clips covering topics such as data roaming charges, food imports and how the value of the pound could potentially fluctuate once we have formally separated from the EU.
A spokesperson from PlayOJO said: “PlayOJO has built a reputation for being the fair casino and what better way to strengthen our brand positioning than by helping dispel some of the myths and misunderstandings surrounding Brexit.
“Luisa is a popular and well-liked celebrity following her appearance on The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother, and has the status and social media following required to ensure this campaign goes viral and reaches our target audience.
“While the campaign is meant to be a bit of fun and is very much tongue in cheek, we hope it will also prove useful to those who are still unsure about the impact Brexit might have on their day to day lives.”
