FUN88 partners with Caribbean Premier League

Online sportsbook and casino FUN88 has increased its sporting footprint by partnering with the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in cricket.

The sponsorship will commence from the start of the 2020 season, which is scheduled to begin on 18th August.

FUN88 says that it will collaborate with the cricket league to both improve fan experience and increase tournament awareness.

The operator recently also strengthened its presence in football.

“A great pleasure”

Through its partnership with the CPL, FUN88 promises to provide “exciting content for fans to enjoy”.

CPL Commercial Director Jamie Stewart spoke about the deal and had the following to say.

“It’s a great pleasure to welcome FUN88 as Hero CPL partners. With these great sites, fans around the world can ramp up the excitement levels and have opportunities to win big.”

Growing its partnerships

Last month, FUN88 continued its work on the business side of things by extending its partnership with Premier League club Newcastle United. Through this, it will continue to sponsor the side’s shirts for the 2020/21 football season and beyond.

Speaking about the new partnership with the CPL, a spokesperson from the company had the following to say.

“We are delighted to partner with the Caribbean Premier League which shares the same ethos as Fun88. We believe in collaborating and promoting sports leagues across all formats and geographies, and this partnership will deliver that message across the world.

“Cricket is a well-loved sport in many of our target markets and we hope that we will elevate and cement our presence in these markets via this long-term association. We are certain that some thrilling matches during this league will keep the fans engaged, both pre-game and in-play.”

CPL ready to go

The CPL will be held from 18th August until September 20th. Due to the ongoing global situation, it shall take place behind closed doors in Trinidad and Tobago.

The CPL is set to be the first twenty20 league to resume following the COVID-19 pandemic. On Thursday, it was announced that all 162 tests carried out on players and personnel came back negative.
