Casumo has been given the go ahead to expand into the Danish market after being granted a five-year licence from the Danish Gambling Authority, Spillemyndigheden.
The operator will take a mobile-first approach to the newly regulated market, with reports suggesting that Casumo will develop a new media campaign to promote its online casino services.
Oscar Simonsson, co-founder and CEO of Casumo, stressed that the new licence marks a milestone moment for the online operator, forming a significant part of its ongoing strategy to both enter and grow in newly regulated markets.
He said: “I’m confident that the Casumo brand will resonate well with the players in Denmark—those who want to experience a modern way of playing online casino.
“We have a very strong and unique product offering, which includes our very own custom-designed live casino studio, as well as the casino rewards system that Casumo pioneered in the industry when we launched in 2012.”
Casumo has already cemented its presence in both Italy and Sweden earlier this year, after being granted a licence from both countries. The operator did face some difficulty in the Netherlands, however, after it was found to have been targeting players in the country. Casumo was slapped with a €310,000 fine from the Dutch regulator as a result.
