Intralot has strengthened its executive board with the appointment of Nicklas Zajdel as the operator’s new chief digital officer.
At Intralot, Zajdel will be responsible with overseeing the development of Intralot’s products and services through a new digital division. He will be tasked with managing the digital platforms, online operations, sportsbook and trading.
The new Intralot Interactive division will offer an affiliate management system that gives both affiliates and operators an array of services.
Intralot deputy chief executive Nikos Nikolakopoulos celebrated the new appointment: “The appointment of Mr Zajdel contributes to Intralot’s strategic objective of shaping the future of gaming by strengthening our capabilities with new digital products and services to assist growth across all industry verticals but particularly enhance our ability to tap the nascent sports betting market in the US.”
Zajdel joins Intralot from GVC, where he held the position of omni-channel director of Ladbrokes Coral since December 2016. He joined Ladbrokes prior to its merger with Coral and subsequent to its acquisition from GVC.
Previously, Zajdel was vice-president of business operations at Playtech’s PTTS division, in addition to holding tenure at PartyGaming earlier in his career.
